HSBC Bank Australia has appointed Robert Brown as head of custody sales and relationship development for HSBC Securities Services in Australia, to manage the bank’s custody client base.
Brown worked most recently as director and principal consultant at Alford Brown and Associates and has also held senior executive positions at Ausmaq, National Australia Bank, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and State Street Australia, according to HSBC.
He replaces John Butler, who has been appointed head of sales and relationship management, sub-custody and clearing, for HSBC in Singapore.
HSBC’s head of securities services in Australia Andrew Bastow said that Brown “combines extensive custody and financial services experience with strong relationship management skills and deep local market knowledge.”
