Investment and research consultancy Intech has upgraded its team, appointing Brad Bugg as head of fixed income and currency and Craig Stanford as senior analyst — alternatives.
The appointments represent a part of the building exercise that has followed the acquisition of Intech by Morningstar earlier this year.
Commenting on the appointments, Intech managing director Anthony Serhan said the company had sought to target people with hands-on market experience.
He said Bugg would be responsible for the performance of Intech’s fixed income portfolios and trusts and would be a member of the Intech Investment Committee, while Stanford would work with the head of alternative investments, Michael Coop, in formulating Intech’s alternative investment policies.
Bugg was most recently a senior analyst with Austock Asset Management while Stanford has spent the last eight years researching hedge fund managers and managing institutional fund of fund hedge fund portfolios in both London and Sydney for Ellerston Capital and ABN Amro Asset Management.
