James Bloom has joined T. Rowe Price as head of client service and consultant relations.
He will provide day-to-day contact and service to clients including institutional clients and consultants, according to T. Rowe Price.
Bloom worked most recently at Challenger Funds Management as head of institutional business, responsible for sales, client service and consultant relations for institutional clients.
He previously worked for Challenger in its London office as head of consultant relationships, and before that was at Newton for 10 years where he was responsible for institutional consultant relationships.
“James’ hire is a continuation of our long-term measured expansion plan as we build a significant presence in the Australian and New Zealand market,” said T. Rowe Price’s director, Australia and New Zealand, Murray Brewer.
“He brings the character, strong technical competence and an institutional approach that is consistent with our culture. We are delighted that James will enhance the client service delivery to our valued existing clients and also help to grow new relationships in the local marketplace with an expanded product range,” Brewer said.
