IQ’s trustee office solution, iqBoard, is based on its recently launched onshore cloud computing environment, iqCloud. Board members are provided with iPads that provide them with board packs and wider company information.
IQ remotely manages the iPads to provide security and privacy. The devices can also be remotely disabled by IQ in the event of loss or theft.
LGS chief executive Peter Lambert said the new system would save the board time and money, and was in line with LGS’s “core focus on sustainability”.
“iqCloud is more secure than paper-based folders … we are even investigating incorporating the iPad and its faster and easier access to company data to other areas of the organisation,” Lambert said.
IQ chief executive Graham Sammells said the iqBoard solution allows each board member to track tasks, review calendar updates, and securely access board and sub-committee documents.
“This is the second implementation of iqBoard, and one that is a true end-to-end solution for board governance. It not only caters for an immediate streamlining of communications, it can enable further improvements in the future for items such as reporting,” Sammells said.
