Maritime Super has announced a partnership with financial education and engagement services provider innergi.
The innergi platform conveys information to members via video, e-news, online modules, quizzes and competitions, according to innergi co-founder Robert Skinner.
One of the key tools within the platform is a personality quiz that equates members to animals such as monkeys, owls or dolphins based on their answers to questions and then helps to determine the best way to approach, educate and advise members through their relevant distinct attributes, Skinner said.
innergi showcased the money personality quiz at the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) conference late last year.
“We were run off our feet at ASFA’s conference. We were trialling five different engagement strategies at the conference from animal stickers to referral cards. Interestingly, of the 340 that completed the quiz, 120 delegates were referred to do the money personality quiz,” Skinner said.
The challenge in educating members is aligning expertise in education with people’s individual learning preferences, and educational content that is not catered to individual preferences could be a waste of resources, he said.
innergi is still in talks with a number of other super funds and financial planning groups, the firm stated.
