National Australia Bank (NAB) has announced the appointment of Peter Hele to its Asset Servicing division. Hele will take on the role of managing director for product and strategic alliances.
Hele has been with NAB for the last 11 years, most recently in the role of managing director for client relationships.
NAB executive general manager for asset services, Leigh Watson, said the custodian was in a unique position to support Australian domiciled funds.
“We are investing in new capability and looking to leverage our global relationships to deliver best in class products and services for our clients. Peter brings in-depth knowledge of the local market to the role, as well as a deep understanding of our clients’ needs,” Watson said.
Hele will also be responsible for directing NAB Asset Servicing’s expansion in New Zealand, Watson added.
Hele has extensive experience in the Asset Servicing business, joining as a relationship manager in 1999 from AMP’s corporate superannuation division.
