Local Government Super (LGS) has appointed a new head of marketing and communications after recently rebranding.
Michelle Hopwood has come to LGS from REST Super, where she led a wide range of marketing and communications activities.
She has also held senior marketing positions with Energy Australia and the Commonwealth Bank.
LGS chief executive Peter Lambert said Hopwood’s appointment would help the fund to continue to effectively communicate with its members and drive some exciting new initiatives.
“Having recently assumed total control of our front office capabilities, LGS is moving into its next stage of being an independent public offer industry fund,” Lambert said.
“We’ve recently launched our new brand and Michelle’s skills will be integral to further developing our unique offering.”
