James Sinclair has joined Iress’ expanded superannuation leadership team, heading up growth and partnerships.
He makes the move from Fidelity National Information Services (FIS), an American multinational corporation that offers a wide range of financial products and services, where he was a sales executive for superannuation and insurance.
Reporting to the APAC sales director, Sinclair helped drive sustainable growth and build strategic relationships across a set of clients and partners such as MLC Life Insurance and Insignia Financial in Australia and New Zealand.
Sharing the appointment on LinkedIn, Sinclair wrote: “It’s great to be back in super and to be part of a technology-led business that is in a strong position to deliver brilliant member outcomes through superannuation, data, and advice tech and services.”
Prior to FIS, he was a sales manager for superannuation and wealth at SS&C Technologies, which signed Mine Super as its first client last year to deliver superannuation administration services in Australia.
Sinclair’s experience includes business development and sales roles at Media Super, Mercer Australia, and AMP.
Earlier this year, Iress expanded its super fund digital advice offerings with a new tool called “SuperSmart” that combines digital advice with personalised financial education based on member demographics and preference data. It includes Hostplus and Industry Fund Services (IFS) among its users.
The firm also made changes to its senior leadership teams in April following a strategic review, which included the appointment of Paul Giles as chief executive of superannuation.
