Cbus has appointed Grant Harrison to the newly-created role of investment manager for private markets.
Harrison will be responsible for the design and management of Cbus' exposure to private markets including property, infrastructure and other growth opportunities.
He brings over two decades of experience in financial services including time with Wilshire Australia, Funds SA and the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation.
Cbus executive manager of investment strategy Kristian Fok said although Harrison was filling a new role, the experience and understanding of the superannuation and investment sectors would position him well.
"As we grow the in-house capability of our investment team, it's important to recruit people like Grant who possess tangible skills to help our growing fund deal with a more complex investment environment," he said.
The industry fund appointed former Fidante institutional business development manager Brett Chatfield as investment manager for public markets in January.
