Former NSW Liberal politician Peter Collins has been elected new chair of the Industry Super Network (ISN).
Meanwhile, former Victorian Premier and Labor politician John Brumby will take on the role of deputy chair of the board.
Collins, a former barrister and ABC journalist, will replace outgoing chair Steve Bracks who takes on the post of Australian Consul General in New York.
“I’m very proud to serve as chair of the ISN and look forward to working with John Brumby and the rest of the ISN team towards maximising the retirement savings and income of over five million Industry Superfund members,” he said.
“Our super system is the envy of the world and should remain so. ISN will continue to provide much needed leadership by standing up for our super system and safeguarding Australia’s retirement savings,” he added.
Collins left the NSW Parliament in 2003 and has been director of Industry SuperFund HOSTPLUS since 2006.
The new appointment will begin Monday.
