The New South Wales Electrical Superannuation Scheme (Ness Super) has announced that Angie Mastrippolito will take over from Philip Hirshbein as fund secretary and chief executive in July.
Mastrippolito joined NESS Super in March this year and has been appointed deputy fund secretary and chief executive for a transitional period leading up to Hirshbein's retirement.
Mastrippolito is a qualified Actuary with over 29 years' experience within the superannuation industry, according to NESS Super. She was previously self-employed through Professional Financial Services and has also held senior roles with Watson Wyatt Australia, Mercer and AMP.
"It's great to have someone of Angie's calibre join the team as we work to make this transition period as seamless as possible," Hirshbein said.
NESS Super is the industry super fund for the electrotechnology industry and has 16,000 members and $390 million in assets under management.
Cbus has swiftly promoted Leigh Gavin to chief investment officer only months after naming him deputy, as the fund works towards growing in size and bringing its investment expertise in-house.
Bravura CEO Andrew Russell has announced he will be stepping down from the company, just under two years after his appointment.
The $16 billion fund has teamed up with a retirement income product specialist to give its members more confidence to spend in retirement.
The super fund-owned institutional investment manager has appointed an internal candidate as its next head of operations.
