Queensland building and construction industry fund, BUSSQ has appointed a new chairman.
It announced today that from 1 January the new chair of the BUSSQ trustee board would be Wallace Trohear who would be succeeding Bob Lette in the role.
The fund also announced that corporate governance adviser, Sonya Beyers had also been appointed to the board.
Trohear, a founding director of QLeave and a chairperson of Mates in Construction in Queensland, is a current member of the BUSSQ board and boasts more than 50 years’ experience in the building and construction industry.
Lette is stepping down as a director and is being replaced by Beyers who is a qualified solicitor, a member and accredited facilitator of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and serves on boards including Horizon Housing company Ltd and the Forde Foundation trust fund.
