GESB has appointed senior Department of Transport developer Glen Townsing to the board as member director for a period of three years.
Chairman of GESB John Langoulant said Townsing's experience, which includes systems analysis and design, application development, database administration and design and capacity planning, aligns with issues GESB is currently working on.
A GESB representative said this included federal government reforms as well as local Western Australian superannuation reforms.
Townsing has over 20 years' experience in information technology and has designed, developed and implemented a range of computer systems while at the Department of Transport.
He is a serving Community & Public Sector Union/Civil Service Association Councillor, is chairman of the Civil Service Association's superannuation committee, and serves on the Public Service Appeals Board.
He has replaced Derek Spray, who had been a member of the board since 2003.
