Former Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) general manager of clearing services, Danielle Henderson is joining Northern Trust in the position of senior vice president.
In the newly-created Sydney-based role, Northern Trust said Henderson would oversee the firm’s market advocacy and innovation research activities in the Asia-Pacific region.
Commenting on the appointment, Northern Trust global head of market advocacy and innovation research, Justin Chapman said the position had been created in response to continued growth in the Asia-Pacific.
“The APAC (Asia-Pacific) region is experiencing a transformational period of change in light of new technologies,” he said.
“As innovation continues apace in the custody and funds administration sector, we are delighted to appoint Danielle to this new role to further boost Northern Trust’s advocacy and innovation capabilities.”
Henderson was previously the chief executive of Berndale Securities between 2009 and 2012, and most recently held the role of principal consultant with Kairos Enterprises Sydney. She has also held executive roles across finance and funds management at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and BNP Paribas in Sydney and London, and with Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) in Sydney and Bangkok.
