RBC Investor & Treasury Services (I&TS) has recruited J.P. Morgan’s Marian Azer as its managing director, Head of I&TS Product Management, Asia Pacific and chief operating officer, Global Client Coverage, Australia.

Announcing Azer’s appointment this week, the company said she would be reporting jointly to Head of I&TS Australia, David Travers and Global Head of Product Management, Paul Stillabower.

It said Azer would be responsible for the design and execution of the RBC I&TS product strategy in the Asia Pacific and governance of all client coverage activities in Australia.

Commenting on the appointment, Travers said Azer was joining the company at an exciting time for the Australian business where it had invested in new technology and people to enhance its business and position for growth.

The announcement follows the recent appointment of David Brown, who joined RBC I&TS in Sydney in November to lead client coverage across Australia
