Equipsuper appointed Jane Simon as a member director, effective from 1 January, filling Trevor Birkbeck's seat, who retired last year.

Simon has over 30 years' experience in the investment and wealth management industries, with senior roles in Goldman Sachs/JB Were, where she was a partner and executive director, private wealth management, and where she remains a consultant.

Simon holds investment committee roles at Deakin University and the Lord Mayor's Charitable Fund (Melbourne).

"Jane's appointment adds an even greater depth of governance and investment experience to the board and we are extremely pleased to have attracted someone of Jane's calibre and expertise," Equip chairman Andrew Fairley said.

Equip also announced John O'Neill had left the board after 20 years, and is in the midst of filling the casual role.
