VicSuper has appointed four new international equities investment managers following a review of its investment strategy.
Martin Currie Investment Management, Walter Scott & Partners, Global Thematic Partners and Sanders Capital have been chosen to improve the performance of member investment options with an exposure to equities.
Martin Currie will invest solely into emerging markets benchmarked to the MSCI Emerging Markets index while the remaining three will invest globally.
Vic Super made the decision to split the funds' international and emerging market equities portfolio to allow for core and satellite components in 2011.
The fund allocated 70 per cent to developed markets and 50 per cent to emerging markets for the core while the balance is allocated to satellites.
The satellites aim to blend actively managed investment styles and diversify sources of return and exposure to risks, VicSuper said.
The managers were instated at the end of July and will give their first review at the end of August.
