After a number of months of indecision, the Government has appointed a new full-time chairperson to the Superannuation Complaints Tribunal (SCT).

The Assistant Treasurer, Josh Frydenberg, announced today that former QSuper executive, Helen Davis, had been appointed to the SCT role.

He described Davis as having a strong understanding of superannuation and the sector.

He said Davis was a superannuation consultant who had established her own consultancy firm in 2013 after having held a range of senior roles at QSuper, including as Chief Officer, Member Outcomes.

Davis succeeds Jocelyn Furlan in the SCT role, with Furlan having filled in as acting chairperson after her term expired last year.
